In line with the celebration of the National Arts Month, MPJ Entertainment Productions and Triple MP Productions, with the co-sponsorship of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), will be launching the third Singkuwento International Film Festival, Manila Philippines (SIFFMP) to be held at the Leandro Locsin Theater located at  the NCCA Bldg. in Intramuros, Manila from February 19 to 27, 2016.

 

We are currently accepting submissions for short films that are 30 minutes or less. Deadline for submission of entries is on December 13, 2016. Submission is free.

What's reelin'?

As you know, Singkuwento International started in 2013 as a non-competition travelling festival which showcased short films by a small group of selected filmmakers. This year, it will start its second competition that is open to the public. The objective of the festival is to give voices to Filipinos both here and abroad as well as to provide a channel for non-Filipinos to share their impressions of the Philippines and its people.

We are looking for films that depicts the realities of the lives of the Filipinos both in the Philippines and abroad. Films can be of any genre for as long as the running time does not exceed thirty minutes. Surprise us. Take us to a world where we have not been to for as long as it leads to a better understanding of our distinct Filiipino spirit. But of course, you just have to find a way to make your story-telling compelling.

After a brief hiatus, Singkuwento International is back and this time. with a louder bang. Aside from the competing films, we will also be exhibiting the works of veteran filmmakers. You are in for a treat.

Need to raise funds?

Do you need to raise funds for your organization?  Singkuwento International will contiue to offer its films as a means of fundraising after our initial festival screenings. Whether it's to buy new equipments, launch a new project, give out scholarships, or whatever you need, we are offering a way to help you meet your objective.
